Support
Minium is made by one person. Write to support@readminium.app and include your iOS version, the Minium version (Settings → About) and, if a book misbehaves, its format.
Adding books
- Files: on the Library tab, tap + (Add books) and pick files from Files or iCloud Drive.
- Open in Minium: in Files or another app, open a book file with Minium.
- Share sheet: share a book file from another app and choose Minium.
- ZIP: a ZIP archive of books adds every book inside it.
Supported formats
- EPUB
- FB2 (FictionBook), including
.fb2.zip - DRM-free Kindle books: MOBI and AZW3
- ZIP archives of the above
PDF, comics and audiobooks are not supported yet.
Books Minium can’t open
Minium does not open DRM-protected books. That includes most books bought from the Kindle store, Kindle books in the KFX format and Print Replica books. Books from stores that sell DRM-free files, and public-domain books, work.
A book shows “File missing”
If a book’s file is gone from the device, the book stays in your library and shows “File missing”. Delete the book, then add the file again. Your reading position, quotes and collections come back; bookmarks do not.
Questions
- Does Minium need an account?
- No. There is no account, and nothing is uploaded.
- Does it sync between my devices?
- Not yet. Your library lives on the device.
- Why did my book fail to import?
- The message gives the reason: an unsupported format, DRM, a damaged file, or a file too large to open on the device.
- Does Minium come with books?
- Yes: a few public-domain books from Project Gutenberg.
- What happens when I delete a book?
- You get a few seconds to undo. After that the file is removed. Minium keeps your reading position and your quotes, so the book picks up where you left off if you add it again; Settings → Privacy can clear the positions, and quotes are deleted in Quotes.
